jennatar It's easy to tease Josh Groban for his earnestness, but after this incredible performance -- and in lieu of his performance in "I'm ****ing Ben Affleck" -- it's nice to see he has such a good sense of humor about his singing.
Also, WOW! If the singing thing doesn't pan out (har), he has a great career ahead of him as an impressionist!

Homework 4 Dummies —
Josh Groban, 2008 Emmy’s, TV Theme Music Song. This is not what I expected. I really like the Southpark, and the Jefferson’s bit. The X-Files moment also gets a thumbs up.

Josh Groban Performs At The Emmys!
Celebrity Royale —
Josh Groban was pretty much the highlight of the 60th Primetime Emmy Awards last night. Groban, a classical-pop singer-songwriter, performed a medley of theme songs from 30 classic television shows. The performance included themes from TV shows such as The Golden Girls, The Simpsons, Cops, The Jeffersons, The Andy Griffith Show, The Brady Bunch, South Park, Friends, The Love Boat, M.A.S.H., Baywatch, Rawhide, and The Carol Burnett Show. He did many more, but he was so entertaining. When he did The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, I think I just fell in love with him!

The Best & Worst of the 2008 Emmy Awards [Recaps]
Gawker —
The '60th Anniversary' Emmy Awards, recognizing "excellence" in television, paraded themselves around last night, vindicating and embarrassing the whole affair in equal measure. Some little-watched and much-deserving programs won top glittery trophies (30 Rock, Mad Men) while sycophancy, silly time wasting tedium, and suspicious whiffs of censorship soured the perfumed air. After the jump we'll give you some of the best and worst Emmy moments, as we saw them, for those of you (and I suspect that was most of you) who didn't watch any of the lurching proceedings. THE BEST 30 Rock ...

Movie Dearest —
The 60th Annual Emmy Awards were handed out last night, but there wasn't too much to get excited about as far as Movie Dearest was concerned. Our only favorite program to win anything all night was Pushing Daisies (for Barry Sonnenfeld's direction of the "Pie-lette"). Seriously, what does Neil Patrick Harris, Chandra Wilson and Vanessa Williams have to do to get a little Emmy love? The highlight of the whole painfully protracted affair (seriously, those hosts get paid for, you know, hosting?) was Josh Groban's delightfully goofy ...
