The Cup of Tears looks like it’s gonna be a pretty damn fun film to watch. It’s a live-action CGI hybrid film that was directed by a young director named Gary Shore. The film was shot in Ireland using the RED camera. The trailer shows off it’s awesome visuals which has that Sin City, 300 look written all over it. And for a low budget film the movie looks just as good as those movies do, it might even be better in some ways, because it’s a bloody Samurai sci-fi film! Yeah, I said Sci-Fi Samurai. Awesome.

Well that film might just be The Cup of Tears, a CGI Live action Hybrid film directed by Gary Shore.

I, like seemingly everybody else, did not know about THE CUP OF TEARS, a surreal samurai film with rich visuals that is likely to remind everybody of SIN CITY, at least as far as looks go. Also, the music used in the trailer is reminiscent of SIN CITY as well, although I’m not sure if it is actually a part of the film’s score or not.
THE CUP OF TEARS is the feature directorial debut of Gary Shore, who apparently is an effects whiz (after seeing the trailer, I can definitely believe that), and has also worked directing commercials.
