Wanted looks like chaotic, frenetic fun. Here’s a full 7 minute extract, starting with Angelina Jolie introducing herself to James McAvoy, and spiraling into an absolutely mad car chase.
Does anybody else have a problem with McAvoy’s American accent?
I wish they’d cast a more interesting actor as the villain - he was very bland in Next.
Wanted won’t be a smash hit, because it’s a summer tentpole movie based on material the public has no pre-awareness of (see Stealth and The Island). Let’s hope it breaks even.

One of the emerging trends in movie marketing is to release clips that show more and more of the film, trailers that reveal more of the plot and promos that are supposed to give us more of a reason to see the other 2/3 of the movie. The only problem, in the minds of purists, is that giving away this much of a movie spoils the whole thing. But for the rest of us, this sort of thing is just a little taste.

We have scored 7 minutes of Wanted for you dudes this morning. We must thank the good people at slashfilm for the hookup! Check it out!
My favorite part of this clip is when the guy steals the Nibbler’s truck. The pull back camera shot is awesome. I am still not “feeling” this movie, perhaps it will be far better than my expectations, but this trailer still hasn’t done enough to quell the flames of my skepticism. Now we wait and see.

I really have no idea if Wanted will turn out to be good or just completely suck, but everything I’ve seen so far at least points to the fact that it should at least be fun.
This newly released 7-minute clip of the chase scene that we’ve all seen glimpses of is pretty rockin’. The stunts and entire sequence is awesome, and if you can’t get into the mirror gun that Angelina Jolie pulls out of nowhere, then you just don’t like good action gadgets.
