Watchmen trailer online at Filmstalker
Published 7/17/2008 at Filmstalker
Watchmen_Poster.jpg The Watchmen trailer may have been pulled elsewhere on the Internet, but I still have it here on Filmstalker, and you can see it too if you're quick. This is finally the film version of the superb and hugely successful and influencial Watchmen comic book, and it looks superb. I have to admit I was concerned for a very long time, and now, seeing this trailer, I think the Watchmen might finally make it on screen and make it on screen dead right. Zack Snyder ...

Fantastic ‘Watchmen’ trailer debuts on web
Published 7/17/2008 by Franck Tabouring at The Screening Log
I really don’t know what’s going on, but I think this week’s is the year’s week of awesome trailers. First we got a quick look at Frank Miller’s “The Spirit.” Then we caught a glimpse of Christian Bale in “Terminator Salvation.” And now, we finally get a better idea of what Zack Snyder’s “Watchmen” will look like on the big screen. At this stage, I think it’s pretty safe to say that this flick looks amazing. The Smashing Pumpkins song fits right in, the visual effects look gorgeous and the footage of some of the film’s actions ...

Afronerd Radio returns this Sunday at 7pm eastern and stay tuned for the Comic Shoppe with Max, Dburt and Daryll on Monday-also at 7pm eastern. On Afronerd Radio the topics to be discussed will be-gang signs by pro-athletes, the PC revamping of Disney's The Princess and The Frog (hat tip to resident commenter, Sub-Mariner), more controversy with Rev. Jesse Jackson and more politics if time permits. On the Comic Shoppe this Monday-we will using our ink ...

New Watchmen Trailer online
Published 7/18/2008 by michy@popstar.com (Michy Burrows) at Original Sharp Says...
So there's a new WATCHMEN Trailer online? Great. I must admit, I'm not familiar with the Graphic Novel at all, I've never read anything Watchmen-related and I'm not sure 'the boss' has either. While being a 'Watchmen Virgin' (gotta be a virgin at SOMETHING right?) the trailer has definitely got my attention! The effects look polished, the soundtrack is good and the story sounds interesting to say the least. Whether it'll translate well into a full scale feature film remains to be seen. The one element I can't get my head around is the 'owl styled' mask that one of ...

Watchmen Trailer Makes Early Debut
Published 7/18/2008 by Jason at Pop Critics
Mike told us yesterday that the Watchmen trailer would be premiering with the IMAX version of The Dark Knight and he was absolutely right when he said it.  Not long after, however, the trailer was leaked onto the internet and now all of us can enjoy it equally. Now this, this is how I imagine a graphic novel to look on screen!  This film was directed by Zack Snyder who also directed 300, but it has none of the fake background look to it that ...

Watchmen Trailer Released - Very Awesome
Published 7/18/2008 by Matt at Hollywood Hills - Movies and Television
Wow. I was completely ignorant to the 1986 graphic novel “Watchmen”, but had heard very encouraging news on the movie adaptation through it’s production. Now the trailer has been released, which should also be showing before “The Dark Knight” this weekend, and again I’ll say it: Wow. Plot and trailer below. A complex, multi-layered mystery adventure, “Watchmen” is set in an alternate 1985 America in which costumed superheroes are part of the fabric of everyday society, and the “Doomsday Clock” - which charts the ...

Watchmen looks promising?
Published 7/18/2008 by noreply@blogger.com (Ryland Walker Knight) at VINYL IS HEAVY
Who watches Zach Snyder? I will admit up front that I thought 300 a big pile of hateful, lame-brain junk. But id did look good. This looks pretty great, too. I just hope it retains the spirit as well as amplifying the look. Cuz I'm one of those fanboys who does indeed love this "most celebrated graphic novel of all time". I'm also a fan of Billy Crudup in most things, so that bodes well. --RWK

Someone Saved My Life Tonight

It probably seems like I'm a tad late in posting this one, but before I linked to this amazing trailer, I wanted to read the graphic novel. The first challenge to that was actually finding a copy in stores! Having finished reading it though, I find myself quite curious about how this movie will go down...since it didn't really strike ...

Watchmen is set in an alternate 1985 America in which costumed superheroes are part of the fabric of everyday society, and the "Doomsday Clock" - which charts the USA's tension with the Soviet Union - is permanently set at five minutes to midnight. When one of his former colleagues is murdered, the washed-up but no less determined masked vigilante Rorschach sets out to uncover a plot to kill and discredit all past and present ...
