It'll go down as one of the best games in Super Bowl history, sure. But what about the commercials? Not so much, unfortunately. There were some colossal stinkers, including a pair of CareerBuilder.com ads -- one of which was stupid (an animated firefly gets eaten by a giant spider), the other of which was pointless and gross (it opened with a heart bursting from a woman's chest "Alien"-style). The Giants upset the Patriots 17 to 14 in this year’s Super Bowl in what was described as a riveting game. I’m not a real sports fan and am one of those people who watch for the world class commercials. You can watch all the super bowl ads without any of the sports filler in several locations online. Check them out on MySpace, and Sports.AOL.com. The ads I’ve seen so far are decent and funny, but there’s nothing amazing.

The commercial that threatened the well protected bubble of conservative television remains in tact. After Janet Jackson whipped out her floppy boob a few years ago the censors and rules of the game have become strict and raised the bar on boring.
Danica Patrick did a spot for GoDaddy that mentioned the word “beaver.” GASP! The commercial was rejected by FOX network for the slang terminology for lady bits.
